This presentation will outline essential factors for developing and integrating AI solutions effectively. Practical AI applications should target a real problem, be human-centred tools that augment existing skills, and be gradually implemented with continuous oversight.

Professor Wolfgang Mayer is focusing on transforming complex data into actionable insights across various sectors such as Defence, Resource Industries, Healthcare, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Engineering. He possesses extensive expertise in machine learning, AI, data processing, and systems integration, covering both traditional and modern AI methods. His experience includes successful collaborations with a wide range of companies through numerous Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs), government initiatives, and direct partnerships, as well as the development of innovative AI tools for data management. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed papers and contributed AI technologies to projects totalling $18 million.
