Businesses that are at least 50% owned by an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander that operate in South Australia. Further information of eligibility criteria can be found on Our Membership page

If you are an interstate business, the businesses must have a physical office located in South Australia or employing at least one Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander resident.

Membership to The Circle is free of charge, complete the online application form ensuring that your business (or business idea) meets the eligibility criteria here.

No, The Circle – First Nations Entrepreneur Hub does not provide funding or grants for its members.

Circle members can book a variety of meeting rooms by contacting The Circle via email thecircle@sa.gov.au or via phone 0422 443 430.

No, The Circle doesn’t have a public facing database however Exhibitor booklets from previous First Nations Business Showcase events can be found on the Resource Page. The list isn’t categorised by industry sector or supply and services and not every exhibiting business has a website for contact details. Additionally, it doesn’t include other First Nations businesses in SA who were not exhibiting at the events but are also members of The Circle.  

The team has detailed working knowledge of capacity and capability of its members, the team would be happy to provide information about our members to meet specific needs or opportunities as they arise.

The Circle is located in the TechCentral Building within Lot Fourteen, the main entry to the building is on Frome Road.Use the touchpad at the Frome Road entrance to notify us that you’ve arrived. Alternatively, please contact us on 0422 443 430 upon arrival.

There are two car parks (Wilson’s Car Parking & U-City). Wilson’s Car Parking is near Frome Park, located at the rear northern side of the district, off Frome Road. U-City is on North Terrace across the road from the Precinct.

The Botanic Garden North Terrace tram stop is located right on the doorstep to Lot Fourteen. If you prefer the bus, there are multiple bus stops nearby on North Terrace and Frome Road.

Areas we service

The Circle – First Nations Entrepreneur Hub is based in Adelaide. We invite our members into the Hub to meet with us face to face and offer virtual meetings on MS Teams and phone calls.

The Circle is building a regional engagement profile by meeting with Circle members and other stakeholders in the regions such as Riverland, Port Pirie, Yorke Peninsula, Port Augusta and more.

application process

stage 1

Before you start a membership application you will need to provide the Proof of Aboriginality for business owner/majority business owner

stage 2

Complete the Membership Application Form and email the Proof of Aboriginality for business owner/majority business owner to The Circle via email thecircle@sa.gov.au

stage 3

After your application form is reviewed and, if eligible, you will receive a welcome email from The Circle with a Membership Agreement and Code of Conduct

stage 4

The Circle will follow up with you to book a Business Development Session, either face-to-face or virtual, to determine how best The Circle can support you and your business journey

stage 5

As an outcome of the Business Development Session, The Circle identifies the relevant service/s The Circle offers, including referrals to external providers. The session also outlines what you can do to maximise opportunities

stage 6

As you continue your business journey, opportunities may arise to provide goods/services across South Australia with the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Where relevant, introductions to export market opportunities
