The Circle – First Nations Entrepreneur Hub has been established in partnership with the Australian Government and the South Australian Government, under the Adelaide City Deal.

We are here to assist the South Australian Aboriginal Business Sector with support to build your business through increased connections, capacity, capability and confidence. The Circle team will work with you one-on-one, providing tailored business support, solutions and referrals to a range of experts and opportunities to meet your business needs.

Our Business Development Support commenced in January 2021 and The Circle – First Nations Entrepreneur Hub was officially launched on 27 August 2021.

Membership to The Circle is open to all South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned and operated businesses and is free of charge.

Our support extends to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals who are looking to create a business or need additional support to commence or grow a business or entrepreneurial idea.

Our Membership Page has all the relevant information, including eligibility criteria, to get your Membership started.

Stage 1:

Before you start a membership application you will need provide the Proof of Aboriginality for business owner/majority business owner

Stage 2:

Complete the Membership Application Form and email the Proof of Aboriginality for business owner/majority business owner to The Circle via email thecircle@sa.gov.au

Stage 3:

After your application form is reviewed and, if eligible, you will receive a welcome email from The Circle with a Membership Agreement and Code of Conduct

Stage 4:

The Circle will follow up with you to book an Initial Contact Session, either face-to-face or virtual, to determine how best The Circle can support you and your business journey

Stage 5:

As an outcome of the Initial Contact Session, The Circle identifies the relevant service/s The Circle offers, including referrals to external providers. The session also outlines what you can do to maximise opportunities

Stage 6:

As you continue your business journey, opportunities may arise to provide goods/services across South Australia with the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Where relevant, introductions to export market opportunities

We aim to reduce the gaps in current support and services and provide a culturally appropriate response for the Aboriginal Business Sector.
